Current Campaigns

These are some of the current campaigns that DC JwJ is working on:

Connect-DC: Led by CWA Local 2336, Connect-DC is a campaign to demand greater accountability from Verizon. We are demanding that the company invest greater resources in DC by building their FiOS service, improve the quality of their existing phone service, and bring more good jobs to DC.

Day labor organizing: Day laborers in DC are organizing with the Union de Trabajadores and DC JwJ is supporting their efforts by helping to build leadership and capacity among the workers and advocating for a worker center that will increase job opportunities and further the rights of all those seeking work in DC.
